Project Objectives
Smith & Nephew was growing rapidly, and 2005 sales targets were 50%
higher than 2004.
The Sales Team had NO Sales Force Automation tool or CRM tool.
In order to meet the tight quotas, Smith & Nephew recognized they
needed a sophisticated, robust, easy to implement CRM tool.
Their goal
GO LIVE in 60 DAYS at the
National Sales Meeting by training all 170 Sales Representatives in a
single day.
Our team immediately went to work, developing a rudimentary
sales process for the client, defining and refining business processes
and configuring the salesforce.com tool. In addition, we needed to migrated
and assign ownership to over 30,000 accounts and 90,000 contacts from
the SAP ERP system being used
Smith & Nephew purchased additional licenses of the offline edition
for use by remote sales people. This version had to be loaded onto
170 brand new Dell Laptops which would be distributed at the Global Sales
Meeting.
Finally, a robust, easy to understand, self paced training
guide needed to be developed, proofed, revised, published and shipped
to the National Sales Meeting – 200 copies, and the team needed to be trained,
which was accomplished by a five-member training team in 8 hours.
Results
The client is now live on the system, happily using the tool and has added
lead qualification functionality to the growing number of functions they
intend to use in the Salesforce.com tool.
